A POLITE, PERSONAL APPEAL to the powers at KNBR680 AM sports radio and to sports
fans who know or listen to Mychael Urban.
Mychael Urban is a nice guy. He's a personal friend -- and a very good
friend to many sports fans in the San Francisco Bay Area.
If you know him and you're reading this you know the generosity and sincerity he
has. You know what he means to fans who listen regularly to KNBR680 AM
radio.
Or meant.
Mychael's weekend sports talk radio show at KNBR, where he talked to sports fans
and allowed them lots of air time to speak their minds, was scrapped just prior
to the start of the new Major League Baseball season, which began on March 31.
Mychael is not completely out of work: he's with Comcast Bay Area Sports cable
TV network but his work at KNBR 680 AM radio in San Francisco is sorely missed
by thousands.
(And yes, thousands of people lose their jobs everyday in the world.)
Who is Mychael Urban, you may ask? A father, married, with two daughters,
living in Northern California.
He has recently rebounded from some health issues and is back in the saddle.
