Have you seen it yet?

This is the question many moviegoers are asking people about "Black Panther", Ryan
Coogler's stunning and brilliant superhero action-drama.

The additional two words to add to that question are, "in IMAX".

IMAX is the format to see "Black Panther" in.

Parts of the film -- particularly its most robust action sequences -- were shot in a format tailored for IMAX formatting.

Having seen "Black Panther" in IMAX twice and in conventional 35MM once I can say that there is an appreciable difference in presentation.  In the 35MM edition the screen at a local theater wasn't big enough or wide enought to contain the full cinematic image.  During the end credits some of the names of the principal actors had been cut off, not fully fitting on the screen.

With IMAX you are entirely inside "Black Panther" as an experience.  The feeling and depth are inescapable.  Better than 2D 35MM.  Better than 3D.

So with that said, a word of obvious advice here: you are best served spending a few extra dollars to see "Black Panther" in IMAX.

Anything else pales in comparison.
